Tire Industry Equipment - Granutech Saturn 60x44HT Shredding System: T-01254. One of the best, high torque shear shredders in the industry. This stationary shredder will be powered by (4)-100 hp electric motors which will be completely rebuilt, Those motors are direct coupled to (4) Dennison hydraulic pumps which will also be rebuilt. This shredder came out of the factory with KYB hydraulic motors but will be upgraded to SAI hydraulic motors. The gearbox was opened up and all the gears are in excellent condition, and the endplate bearings and seals will be replaced. Tire Industry Equipment - Portable Granutech/ Saturn Model 62x40HT with classifier- T01244. We have just finished working on this portable tire shredder- it is ready to go to work. It is a Granutech 62x40HT Shredder, with a 2 inch classifier to take whole car and semi truck tires down to a 2 inch nominal chip. This equipment is all mounted onto a single drop, triple axle, 48’ long Aztec 100,000 GW trailer. We are powering this unit with a 600 H.P. KTA1900 series Cummins diesel powered 400 KW Onan generator set with only 846 actual operating hours and we just put a new radiator on this unit. The Hydraulic power pac on this unit is powered by a 200 H.P. electric motor that is direct coupled to a model 90R 130 Sauer-Danfoss Model pump that is capable of producing 4,500 PSI. This is used to power the brand new SAI hydraulic motor that drives the gear box on the completely refurbished Model 62 X 40HT Granutech/ Saturn shredder. This shredder has brand new (2) hook 2’’ thick hard faced knives in the primary part of the shredding chamber and (11) hook 1- ½” thick hard faced knives in the secondary part of the shredding chamber. NOTE: These machines came from the factory new with only 3000 PSI and now this machine will be producing 4,500 PSI which will really make the machine much more productive. This unit has a completely rebuilt West Salem Model 48” wide X 9’ long Rotary Disc Screen Classifier with 2” openings installed on it also. All six of the conveyor belts have been rebuilt with new conveyor belts, electric motors, new gear reducers, new head and tail pulleys, new shafts and new bearings. Note also: all these conveyors are driven electrically along with all the other items with the exception of the hydraulic driven shredder. This unit will be very productive and have much more torque than the typical 62 X 40HT shredder. It will work great for the shredding of semi-truck and passenger tires. This unit is quite unique in that it carries all the necessary conveyors on the machine to move it from one location to the next without requiring an additional support trailer to have to move these items. Then once you’re at a new location you will have to move a couple of conveyors from their travel position to their operating position. This is usually done easily with a boom truck or a front end loader with a boom attachment that this machine already has with it. This unit has been built back very heavy duty and should last for many years without having to make any major repairs other than rebuilding the wear items such as the cutting knives and cleaning fingers. This machine has a new refurbished electrical control panel and the 200 H.P. electric motor that powers the hydraulic pump is furnished with a soft start. We have also installed a Junction box so that you can easily power this machine from three phase 480 volt electricity if you have it available at your location instead of running the diesel generator. We have completely refurbished this machine, including installing new hardened rotors. The rotors are made out of a heat treated 4140 material, rather than the mild steel they are usually built with. We have done this so that when a knife comes off while the machine is in operation and you don’t catch it immediately you shouldn’t harm your knife seats near as easily. In addition these will have the multi-stack cutters meaning that they will have 1.9, 1.8, as well as 1.7 knife seats available to put knives on. Because there are so many 2.0 machines in the field, there is a plentiful supply of used 2 inch blades that can be bought for a fraction of the cost of a new blade. They can be ground down to be used on the 1.9 seat, then on the 1.8, and finally on the 1.7 seat. This way you can use a knife 3 times, greatly reducing your maintenance costs. Tire Industry Equipment - Refurbished Cumberland 3250 Granulator- T-01122. Cumberland equipment has a long history of success in the recycling industry. We recently completed rebuilding this machine from top to bottom. The machine has had every bolt hole repaired not with just Heli-coils but we have drilled each of these holes out oversize and used 4140 inserts to make a more permanent repair. All wear surfaces have been rebuilt using Stoody hard-facing build up wire for long lasting ability to these high wear areas. New bearings were installed on the refurbished rotor along with new fly knives. All the bed knives surfaces were repaired and new bed knives installed. This machine was used previously to take 2 inch tire chips down to a ¾ inch chip at a rate of about 2 tons per hour.
